Our Chuck clocks are named after a cousin who has greatly influenced our lives. His favorite color is sapphire black and the charred finishes of our Chuck pieces always remind us of him. As an ever-striving, ambitious, dedicated, and determined person, he has brought intrigue and inspiration to our lives, and we hope that our Chuck pieces not only capture this, but also bring all of these attributes to your lives when you look at them.

This shou sugi ban wood pendulum clock is burned to a char, and finished with several layers of a semi-gloss protective coating to preserve the charred appearance. Prior to burning, divots are carved out of the entire face giving the piece a wavy rippled appearance. This piece features silver colored serpentine hands with a non-ticking black second hand.

Clock Sides and Back: Charred black shou sugi ban wood with a semi-gloss protective finish. The top, bottom, and sides of the back are offset from the face approximately 0.5” giving the face a slightly protruding look when displayed

Pendulum Face: Carved and charred black shou sugi ban wood with a semi-gloss protective finish

Features: Uneven shaped cutout that loosely follows the wood grain and exposes the pendulum, dampeners to minimize the sound of the pendulum
