Our Sam Clocks were the first to be named and the genesis of the way that we name our pieces. Named after one of our good friends and an all around great person, Sam expressed that this clock was her favorite when we first started out. Danielle has a difficult time keeping track of the actual names of all of the different finishes that we like to use, so I starting referring to this as the ‘Sam’ finish. Not only did the name stick, but it also inspired us to name all of our pieces after the people, places, and things that hold a significant meaning and serve as an inspiration to us.
This split wood pendulum clock features a cutout in the face of the piece that exposes a partially hidden swinging pendulum. This piece has a horizontal strip layout on the clock face with a contrasting vertical strip layout on the face of the pendulum. The split wood is finished in a golden brown color with a satin protective coating. This piece features a black spade hour hand with a black leaf minute hand.
