Every once in a while someone explains a thought or concept that you thought you had a pretty good grasp on, and they do it in such a way that you realize you never were even close to understanding it before. Although there are plenty of deep thinkers out there, very few  are able to think deeply as fluently and potently as our Trussell piece’s namesake. Even fewer are able to articulate these thoughts and concepts as eloquently as this piece’s namesake is able to do. We hope that our Trussell pieces inspire you not just to think, but to search for understanding. We hope that looking at our Trussell pieces makes you realize that you’re not really looking at art, but rather an idea that’s been plucked from the collective consciousness made up of a collection of atoms forming a collection of molecules that are suspended by a smaller atom collection that’s been hammered into the atom collection we’ve all decided to call a wall. And at the very least, we hope that they serve as a constant reminder that time is only a human construct and doesn’t actually exist.

This shou sugi ban wood clock is power carved to introduce an additional depth that accentuates the already textured shou sugi ban wood grain. It is dyed in a swirling psychedelic color palette including golden yellows, pinks, oranges, blues, and purples, and finished with a glossy protective finish. It features black and lime green colored leaf hands that glow in the dark with a non-ticking red second hand.
