Clocks are machines. Clocks indicate time. I attribute it to nostalgia, but there’s something about a silver and black time machine that reminds me of our Marty pieces namesake; a character that I watched nearly every day when I was between three and five years old. As with all of our pieces, we figured if we’re going to build a time machine, why not do it with some style? We hope that our Marty pieces can take you back to a time that fills you with happiness and excitement, and make you optimistic for the future; the same way that their namesake does for us.
This split wood pendulum clock has a vertical strip layout on the clock face with a contrasting horizontal strip layout on the face of the pendulum. The split wood is painted silver and finished with a semi-gloss protective coating. This piece features black baton hands.
