Our Franklin clocks are named after a great barbecue master. Although we no longer eat meat, He has served as an inspiration in many ways: the pursuit of perfection through simplicity, be it barbecue or decor; the honoring of ancestral history, be it hours of manual fire management or hours of hand tool carpentry, and the creative resilience to accomplish amazing things with what some would consider trash, be it converting old propane tanks into offset smokers or converting wood scraps into mosaic style clock faces.
This split wood pendulum clock features a cutout in the face of the piece that exposes a partially hidden swinging pendulum. This piece has a horizontal strip layout on the clock face with a contrasting vertical strip layout on the face of the pendulum. The split wood is burned unevenly and finished with a satin protective coating. This piece features a silver colored spade hour hand with a silver colored leaf minute hand.
